Senator Ashburn from Bakersfield, CA., a staunch conservative area,
was picked up for a DUI at 2:10a.m. after leaving a gay bar in Sacramento
with a male companion. After being asked why he has consistently voted
throughout his political career against all gay equal rights initiatives,
Senator Assburn responded,
"To those that would say that this is carma that trumps my political carear as an
staunch anti-gay advocate, I say I would argue that the Senate runs on deals
made in the back rooms and parking lots of gay bars. So essentially, I had to go
undercover to insert my political agenda. Besides, the Senate is filled with hypocritical
criminals, every last one of them, and I'm not kidding."
