I talked to a guy at the builders supply, who made a point of getting old people to tell a tale. He said this old woman told him that the Old Ones told the Indians this, that at certain times, for that night, the next day and that night, they had to hide in caves. Because the animals went insane and attacked each other. A mouse would attack a bear and so on. He ask some college educated people about this, and they said it could have been sunspots. A strange tale.
