The areas proposed for spray dont look like alot of farm land it looks like mostly population areas.

I lived in Southern California during the 1980s. I remember the medfly infestation and they would announce on the radio to take your kids inside and don't be outside during the spray. I remember seeing them spray, and thinking "Being inside is not going to completely keep us from being exposed". I don't remember which insecticide it was but they did it repeatedly.
