This is a simple ad bringing up a concept in subliminals that affect my wife negatively. Although the ad has a dumbed down explanation, know that many newer billboards with a mostly white portion making up the sign definitely has an image that your subconscious is picking up.

In other words, you can now place hidden messages on print ads and billboards and t-shirts and other stuff that will only be visible to people when they take a picture of it with a digital camera or a camera phone.
